Aberdeen Artists’ Society ‘Coming Home’ Exhibition

,

I submitted 3 works to this, the first Aberdeen Artists’ show in the refurbished gallery. Always in the past an important, well-attended exhibition for the City and Shire. Fond memories of my first success with AAS. As a very young, very amateur artist, I submitted an early watercolour entitled ‘December Woodland’. It sold for the princely sum of 21 guineas to the then minister of St Machar’s Cathedral in Aberdeen. Great encouragement for an aspiring painter. Now looking forward to the results of this year’s Pre-selection process which, delayed because of the Coronavirus emergency, will become available on 2nd June. Fingers crossed!
